After graduating in 1978, Rick joined KPMG. In 1986 he established his own tax and chartered accounting firm and, later that year, a financial planning practice with Godfrey Weston (now Godfrey Pembroke). In January 2000 the accounting practice was sold so Rick could focus on his thriving financial planning practice. Godfrey Pembroke named Rick “Consultant of the Year” in 2001.
A regular speaker at industry functions and professional associations, Rick has also spoken at the Financial Planning Association (FPA) national conference on several occasions. In 2007 he received the FPA’s prestigious ‘Value of Advice’ Award for Retirement Planning.
Besides his Bachelor of Commerce, Rick is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and a Fellow of the FPA. He holds a Diploma of Financial Planning, membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a Justice of the Peace.
Rick lives on Sydney’s north shore with his wife, Julie, and their three children.
