Curtis graduated with an Arts/Law degree from the University of Tasmania in 1984 and completed a Securities Institute of Australia diploma in 1985.
 
He worked as a technical adviser with AMP before joining Shadforths in 1990 as a private client adviser. He has since completed the Diploma of Financial Planning and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Curtis helps investors plan their financial resources to meet their financial objectives. His specialisation is in using direct investments to help clients achieve these objectives. This allows investors to have more control over their investments, including or excluding particular investments based on ethical or other beliefs while taking into account financial planning considerations.
