Stephen Asztalos

Stephen is a Private Wealth Adviser in the Melbourne office for the Shadforth Financial Group.

I had an interest in finance from an early age. My parents came to Australia as refugees and their knowledge of finance was basic – it encouraged me to learn more.

My interest continued through my studies and one of my earliest roles was working as an assistant tax accountant. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with clients and witnessed how a trusted adviser could help them understand complex financial strategies and provide them with a roadmap to meet their goals.

Thirty plus years later and after completing studies, I am a trusted financial adviser to over 100 clients ranging from mid-career professionals, through to those planning for retirement, retirees and people needing advice on aged care.

The relationship with my clients extends beyond finance as I get to know them and their families, their goals and wishes, and helping them achieve what is most important to them. It is satisfying to assist people and provide them with the guidance and confidence that they will meet their lifestyle goals.

I'm passionate about providing ethical and principles-based advice to my clients. I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), which is the highest accreditation in the financial services profession.

I take pride in working for the largest fiduciary certified firm in Australia.  I keep up to date with changes in legislation and regulations so that the advice for clients is at the forefront.
