Brian is a Private Client Adviser in the Brisbane office for the Shadforth Financial Group.
Education and experience
Brian holds an Economics degree from the University of Queensland. He has also completed studies with the Securities Institute of Australia, holds a Diploma of Financial Planning, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
Brian was ranked in the top 50 financial advisers across Australia through the prestigious AFR Smart Investor Masterclass for Financial Planning 2013.
Brian joined the industry in 1996 following a career in applied science and allied health services. After several years as an adviser with RetireInvest, Brian set up a financial planning practice before joining Kilkenny Rose in 2002. In 2004 he became a Director and in 2008 Kilkenny Rose became a founding member of Shadforth Financial Group.
A regular speaker on a range of financial planning issues, Brian's expertise is in developing financial planning strategies, salary packaging and risk management. He specialises in customised strategies for professional and executive wealth accumulators, owner-managed enterprises and Self Managed Superannuation Funds, with a particular focus on asset protection.
Outside of work
Away from work, Brian is married to Angela and has three active boys. Spare time is consumed by sporting activities – most often with his kids. In particular, Brian has a passion for cycling, rugby and tennis.
