Message from Terry Dillon – Shadforth CEO.
By Shadforth Financial Group
At the time of writing, we are in the shadow of a fast approaching and hotly contested Federal election. The polls currently suggest a very narrow win for the Labor Party, who are proposing a significant program of change to our tax system. If the polls are correct, it will be interesting to see how much of the proposed changes can be successfully legislated.
Our advisers have been considering the possible changes and post the election will update you on what they mean for your circumstances at your next progress meeting.
On another note, I’m delighted to announce that one of our advisers, John Dacker was recently awarded the Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award for being the highest achieving student in his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification Program. At Shadforth we’re proud of our reputation for attracting and retaining the best advisers in the industry and congratulate John on being recognised for his hard work and professionalism.
Another outstanding effort was made by the Shadforth team in the recent Ride for Youth event, covering over 700kms from Jurien Bay to Perth. The team was led by one of our advisers, Mick Lee and helped to contribute over $2.2m for Youth Focus, a charity supporting young people and their mental health. The riders interspersed their cycling with visits to regional schools and communities to deliver and participate in presentations focussed on mental health.
I would like to end by thanking those of you who took the time to complete our annual client survey. The results were very encouraging in a difficult climate, with overall client satisfaction rising to a record high 85% . We are currently working through your verbatim responses and will use these insights to improve our services to better support your needs.
I hope you find this edition of The Edge informative and inspiring. As always, please contact your Shadforth adviser if you have any questions.
