About Tom

Tom is a Private Wealth Adviser in the Sydney office for Shadforth Financial Group.

Tom works with a broad range of clients from high-income professionals and executives to business owners and those approaching or transitioning into retirement. What draws Tom to advice is the gap between what clients could achieve and what they actually achieve — and helping close it. Too often, good outcomes are derailed not by bad markets or bad luck, but by poor decisions at the wrong time, structures that don't fit the client's situation or complexity that goes unmanaged.

His approach is direct and practical. He believes that the best advice starts with the client, their goals, and what they want their life to look like. From there, he builds a plan to both grow and protect wealth over time, utilising strategies and products that are fit for their specific situation. 

Education and Experience

Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Wollongong where he majored in Finance and Financial Planning and is a member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).

Tom has particular expertise across:

• Both retail and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs)
• Tax-effective investment structures
• Executive remuneration and employee share schemes

Outside of work

Outside of work, you will probably find Tom with his wife and young daughter having a coffee by the beach.
