Matt is the Head of Shadforth, Queensland

In this role, Matt is responsible for leading the state team and creating an environment that facilitates the smooth delivery of our advice services.

Education and experience

Matt brings over two decades of experience in a financial services covering roles in senior management, distribution, advisory, and consultancy. Commencing as a commercial teller with the CBA, he moved into investment and financial advice, was a shareholder in a privately-owned Brisbane firm as well as spending several years in private banking.

Over the past ten years, as the QLD Investment Consultant for Centrepoint Alliance and then Head of Distribution for Praemium Ltd, Matt focused delivering investment, reporting, execution, and consulting solutions to Australian advisers that would allow them to better serve their clients. This unique opportunity provided Matt with the ability to develop and learn what qualities and processes are needed to not only make a business great, but to also stay there over the long term. These skills and learnings are what he’s keenly passionate about bringing to benefit clients and the team at Shadforth.

Matt holds a Master of Applied Finance majoring in Investment Analysis.

Outside of work

Away from the office Matt greatly enjoys spending time with his two children and learning new languages. A great drive through the beautiful countryside near Brisbane is always welcome too.
